Pleated roof, vertical wall and combined dressings for conservatories

Conservatory Blinds in Kent

Conservatories run hot in summer, cold in winter, and bright at every other time. Conservatory blinds bring that under control. We make and fit blinds for every part of a conservatory across Kent: pleated blinds for the roof glazing, vertical or roller blinds for the side glazing, perfect-fit blinds for the door panels, and waterproof shutters where you want shutter aesthetics in a glazed room.

A blind for every part of the conservatory

What Are Conservatory Blinds?

Conservatory blinds is a category rather than a single product because most conservatories need different blinds in different places. The roof glazing is the hottest, brightest and most awkward to dress, and pleated blinds with reflective performance fabrics are usually the answer there. The side walls take vertical blinds, roller blinds or shutters depending on the look you want and the geometry of the room. Door panels (especially French and bifold doors) take perfect fit blinds or tracked shutters.

The combined effect of dressing the whole conservatory is a meaningful drop in summer overheating and a meaningful rise in winter usability. Independent testing has shown a well-fitted plantation shutter cuts heat loss through a window by up to 52 per cent, and pleated reflective blinds bounce solar gain back out before it warms the room.

We measure and quote the entire conservatory at one survey rather than treating each part as a separate job. That keeps the styling consistent and the pricing transparent.

Lean-to, Victorian, P-shape, modern garden room, orangery

Best for: any conservatory

Lean-to conservatories. Pleated roof blinds plus vertical or roller side blinds.

Victorian conservatories. Pleated roof blinds shaped to the geometry, plus vertical or shutter side dressings.

P-shape and L-shape. Combined dressing across roof and walls, with bifold-door areas dressed in tracked shutters or perfect fit blinds.

Modern garden rooms and orangeries. Often pair well with shutters on the side glazing and roller or pleated blinds on roof lights.

OUR PRODUCTS

Our Complete Made to Measure Blinds

Every blind we supply is made to measure in Kent, manufactured in British workshops, and installed by our own fitters rather than subcontractors. Our ranges are child safe as standard, available in hundreds of fabric and colour combinations, and can be motorised for skylights, loft rooms, or whole house smart home integration.

Fabrics, finishes and child safety

Conservatory Blinds Materials and finishes

Our conservatory blind range covers reflective pleated blinds for roof glazing, performance fabrics for sun-facing aspects, vertical and roller blinds for side glazing, and PVC perfect-fit blinds for door panels. Every blind in the range is made to measure, so it fits your conservatory precisely rather than being trimmed down from a standard size. We also fit motorised blinds for roof sections that are difficult to reach by hand, giving you full control of light and temperature at the touch of a button.

Why it takes longer than a single window

Conservatory Project Process

Our process is designed around genuine advice and careful craftsmanship, from the first call to the moment your blinds are fitted.

Survey

Conservatory surveys are 30-60 minutes – the longest of any blind survey we do. We measure each glazed pane individually, capture the angles, and discuss which areas of the conservatory matter most for sun control vs. winter heat retention.

Build

Conservatory installations are inherently bespoke. Lead times 5-7 weeks because manufacturer lead times stack on top of standard blind lead times.

Install

Full conservatory installs take a half-day. Pleated roof first, side walls next, doors last. Each part tested individually before signoff.

Frequently Asked Questions

They reduce it significantly. Reflective pleated roof blinds bounce solar heat back out before it enters the room, and side blinds reduce direct gain through the walls. For permanent solutions, conservatory shutters go further on insulation.

Pleated blinds are the standard fix for sloping conservatory roof glazing. See our pleated blinds page for the detail. We can also fit reflective fabric inserts where you don’t want the visual weight of a full pleated blind.

Yes. Independent testing has shown a well-fitted plantation shutter cuts heat loss by up to 52 per cent. Pleated thermal blinds add a similar effect on glazing-only walls.
